In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Crown Resorts announced on Tuesday that Crown Perth would resume operations on Saturday, June 27.
The reopening includes the casino floor as well as F&B operations.
The note also explained that certain Covid-19 countermeasures have been agreed with the government of Western Australia, including capacity limits at each venue, physical distancing between patrons, and enhanced hygiene protocols.
Crown CEO Ken Barton commented, “Crown’s priority is to the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the community. The physical distancing and hygiene measures have been developed in consultation with the government, commissioner of police, and chief health officer to allow reopening in a safe manner. We look forward to welcoming back many of our employees and customers to Crown Perth.”
The first stage of Crown Perth’s reopening took place in early June with some F&B services made available to the public.
The Reef Casino Trust recently reported that it anticipates that the Queensland government will allow it to reopen its Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns on July 11.
