UK technology group DJI Holdings says it is expecting a ‘game changing’ deal with the state owned Xinhua News Mobile App to deliver revenue from August, with a “substantial contribution” by Q4 2016.
“Our game-changing partnership to provide our robust technology platform... to the Xinhua News Mobile App… has started strongly. These services have begun their launch and rollout through the app and are expected to commence revenue generation during August,” said CEO Darren Mercer in an AGM statement from the company.
“The Xinhua News mobile app is already one of the largest apps in China and continues to grow towards its target of 300 million users by the end of 2017. The scale and potential of this opportunity is extremely exciting and the board believes that the partnership’s expansion into complementary areas with significant revenue potential is inevitable.
The company also added that its plans for a further listing on NASDAQ are on course for later this year, with US financial advisers to be signed "in the coming weeks”.
