Dynam Japan records a 13.4 percent increase in gross pay-ins for 6 months ending September 30

Pachinko hall operator Dynam Japan recorded a 13.4 percent increase in gross pay-ins, reaching HK$14.6 billion ($1.9 billion) during the six months ending on September 30.

According to a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Dynam generated HK$3.4 billion ($436 million) in revenue during this period, with a net profit totaling HK$153 million ($19.6 million).
The group's primary business is operating pachinko halls in Japan, with a total of 434 halls in operation—an increase of one from the same period in 2022.
Due to the robust results, the Board has resolved to declare an interim dividend of JPY 2.5 per ordinary share.
Dynam Japan recorded HK$3.3 billion ($424 million) in revenue for its Pachinko business, reflecting a 12.8 percent increase from the same period last year.
The firm attributes its success to the multiple-hall development and low-cost operations, stating that 'a feature of the Group’s chain store management is multiple-hall development and low-cost operations centered on low playing cost games. Devising low-cost measures and the expertise needed from store openings to store management are crucial in promoting low playing cost games.’
The interim report emphasizes that 'by reaping the benefits of economies of scale through multiple-hall development when purchasing game machines and general prizes, the Group has positioned itself in a strong, advantageous position to develop the pachinko hall operation business.'
