Echo to partner with Chow Tai Fook for reward scheme

Echo Entertainment Group is partnering with the world’s largest jeweler to  attract gamblers to its Brisbane casino. 

The casino operator has teamed up with Chow Tai Fook Jewellry Group to offer exclusive experiences such as yacht cruises and truffle tastings to people who spend more than HK$1 million ($129,000) a year at the jeweler, Bloomberg reported.

“The universe of very, very serious VIPs is probably 1,500 to 2,000 players,” Echo CEO Matt Bekier said.

“We can de-risk the project by building a pipeline of visitors back into China.”

Bekier said Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Ltd. and Far East Consortium International Ltd, its business partners for the proposed 1,100-room hotel and casino in Brisbane, have a large customer base in Asia.

“If they bring them in they want to be able to generate an extra fee for that.”
