Fire breaks out at site of Grand Lisboa Palace, again

88 workers had to be evacuated from the construction site of the Grand Lisboa Palace, after a fire broke out on the 14th floor of the building on Sunday night, TDM news reports.

The incident was the second fire outbreak at the construction site this year, taking firefighters four and half hours to control the situation.

The Judiciary Police are reportedly suspecting foul play to be involved.

Another fire has broken out at the construction site of the Grand Lisboa Palace, leading to the evacuation of 88 workers, TDM news reports.

SJM Holdings earlier this year said it expects the construction of the Grand Lisboa Palace to be completed by the end of the year.

Speaking to TDM, an SJM spokesperson said they are evaluating the site's safety conditions, but expect construction works to continue.
