Former junket boss turned con caught in Cambodia


Former Macau junket boss, Mr Huang Shan, who is suspected of embezzling an estimated $1.3 billion of Macau casino junket investor funds has been reportedly caught in Cambodia.

According to the Macau Gaming Information Association’s Justice Alliance, the junket figure is now being held in HaLongBay in Vietnam, held by creditors’ representatives.

In April 2014, Huang Shan, a junket operator in Macau’s gambling industry suddenly disappeared, leaving investors struggling to recoup up to $1.3 billion, reported Wall Street Journal.
