Gaming sector wages were up 3.8 percent in 2019

The Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) has revealed that the average monthly earnings, excluding bonuses, of full-time employees in the gaming sector increased 3.8 per cent year-on-year to MOP24,640 (US$3,080) by the end of 2019.

The survey excluded junket promoters and junket associates.

The average earning and wages for directors and managers went up by about the same degree, to MOP54,410, or 3.7 percent year-on-year.

The number of full-time employees in the gaming sector increased by 1.7 percent year-on-year to 58,225, of which 25,459 were dealers.

The labor market was tightening in the latter part of the year, with fewer job vacancies.
