Gaming tax receipts down 47.9% in Jan-Apr period


Covid-19’s impact on GGR has continued to impact Macau’s gaming tax revenues, which fell 47.9 percent year-on-year to MOP20.5 billion (US$2.6 billion) in the first four months of the year.

The figure is 41.1 percent of the MOP49.98 billion that the government had forecast it would have by the end of 2020 - an estimate it had revised on Tuesday from an original forecast of MOP98.2 billion. 

Macau GGR fell 68.7 percent year-on-year in the first four months of the year.
