Genting committed to pursuing third phase of RWM

Genting, a joint partner in Travellers Group along with Andrew Tan's Alliance Global, has announced that it is bullish about continued growth in Manila, with revenues from Travellers Group, which owns Resorts World Manila, climbing 30 percent in the first semester.  

Total revenues increased to $468.9 million compared with $358.3 million in the same period last year, with the increase being attributed mainly to growth in the gaming and hotel businesses.  The number of daily visitors increased by 12 percent to 18,600 from 2012, with much of this growth coming from the foreign VIP sector.  Travellers Group is due to expand the RWM complex with the opening of a convention centre and function rooms in 2014, expansion of the Marriott Hotel in 2015 and the addition of Hilton and Sheraton hotels in 2016.
