H.K. University study finds 20 percent of gambling addicts considered suicide


A study from the University of Hong Kong has found that about 20 percent of some 3,685 addicts who sought help at the Caritas Addicted Gamblers Counselling Centre between 2003 to 2012 had considered suicide. About 22 percent also thought about killing their families, it said. Among the suicidal group, 57 percent said they had insomnia and faced multiple issues, including emotional and family problems.
