HKZM bridge could start services in May or June: sources

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is set to open in the second quarter of 2018, according to people familiar with the matter, reports China Daily.

While a precise date has not been announced, sources say that the bridge will start services around May or June.

The 55-kilometer bridge saw a number of delays since the start of construction in 2009, which was initially targeting completion in 2016.

Once operational, the trip from Hong Kong to Zhuhai will shorten from four hours to less than one hour.
