Hollywood heart throbs to star in Melco Studio City film

Director Martin Scorsese had agreed to direct a short film starring Hollywood heavyweights Robert DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt to publicize the opening of Melco Crown International’s Studio City resort on Cotai.James Packer, who co-owns MCE, also runs RatPac Entertainment, an independent film company, which has partnered with Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and is producing the big-budget short.The film was scripted by Terence Winter, writer of The Wolf of Wall Street and creator of the HBO series Boardwalk Empire and is scheduled to air when the casino opens next year. It’s also the first time the three actors have worked together with Scorsese on a film.
