VIP room operator Iao Kun Group says rolling chip turnover for the month of March declined 49 percent year on year.
Rolling chip turnover, which represents the amount of non-negotiable chips purchased by players was reported at $390 million in March 2016, compared to $760 million in the same period in 2015.
For the first three months of 2016, IKGH’s rolling chip turnover was $1.2 billion, down 45 percent year on year, compared to $2.2 billion for the first three months of 2015.
IKGH is a holding company with VIP rooms primarily focused on high stakes baccarat. IKGH operates VIP rooms at several locations including StarWorld Hotel & Casino, Galaxy Macau, Sands Cotai Central, City of Dreams Macau, Le Royal Arc Casino.
In January, IKGH announced it was to start trial operations in Australian casinos to gain a greater understanding of the preferences of its junket agents and VIP players and the logistics of the market.
