Hong Kong-listed Imperial Pacific said it has been given the green light to proceed with the construction of a new town hotel, the Grand Mariana Casino and Hotel Resort, as part of a $7 billion in planned investments in Saipan.
The company said it had received a “notice to proceed” from the the Division of Coastal Resources Management of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
As a result, the company began site construction on July 15th and expects completion within 16 months.
The resort in Garapan will have a total of 254 rooms and gaming facilities. The company is also planning an integrated resort with about 4000 rooms.
