Imperial Pacific seeks to raise brand awareness in Japan

Saipan casino operator Imperial Pacific International (IPI) is actively looking to raise its brand awareness in Japan and will sponsor this year’s Japan Gaming Congress as one of its first initiatives.

IPI said the moves in Japan form part of a number of projects focused on building brand awareness of IPI as a seasoned and successful operator in the integrated resort industry.

At the Japan Gaming Congress, to be held at the Conrad Tokyo from May 10 to 11 2018, Imperial Pacific plans on liaising with local Japanese media as well as other key stakeholders within the industry to discuss the group’s strategy in relation to the further development of their Saipan-based integrated resort.

In addition, the group plans to showcase their successes in the industry to both the Japanese private sector and government groups.

This effort will display Imperial Pacific’s ability to operate successful integrate resorts, a requirement for those wishing to consider an entry into the Japanese IR market.

Lu Tsai, senior vice president of operations for Imperial Pacific, stated: “We are excited to be involved in the Japan Gaming Congress this year and look forward to showcasing Imperial Pacific’s successes in Saipan. We also have a variety of plans aimed at further developing the Japanese market, a key inbound market for our future expansion. We plan to look at a variety of opportunities to further our tourism and destination marketing opportunities within the country.” Mr. Tsai said that several members of the Imperial Pacific executive team will attend the Japan Gaming Congress and that the trip will include meetings with a variety of Japanese media and tourism operators.

In addition, he aims to meet a variety of government prefectural representatives with discussions around Japan-Saipan tourism opportunities as well as the future of the integrated resort industry within Japan.
