International Ent to operate events under PokerStars name

HK-listed International Entertainment Corp has recently inked a deal with The Stars Group to host poker tournaments and live events under the PokerStars name in Asia.

In a filing to the HKEX, International Entertainment said the new agreement will allow the company to diversify the business of the group, whilst maintaining the group’s core business of hotel operations and leasing properties for casino and ancillary leisure and entertainment.

PokerStars operates the world’s most popular online poker sites. It also operates live poker tour and event brands including PokerStars Festival, PokerStars MEGASTACK, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, European Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.

PokerStars is the world’s most licensed online gaming brand, holding licenses or related operating approvals in 17 jurisdictions.
