Labor unrest spreads to Galaxy Entertainment

A protest over pay and conditions at Macau’s casino operators has spread to Galaxy Entertainment Group, with a group known as the Forefront of Macau Gaming petitioning the company for higher wages.

The same group last week led a protest outside of the Venetian Macau to protest terms and conditions at Sands China. While the Macau Gaming Industry Frontline Workers trade union is also pushing Sands for talks on pay.

About 500 Galaxy workers signed a petition, which was presented to the company on Tuesday.

According to Macau Business Daily, the group is threatening a protest outside the Galaxy Macau casino next week if the company does not agree to talks.
