Lower VIP luck brings down last week GGR

Gross gaming revenue in Macau continued to see a year-on-year increase over the last week (July 10-16), reaching MOP4.8 billion (US$597.2 million), a 35 percent increase over a similar period in 2016, according to Bernstein.

The weekly GGR was however lower than that of the first week of July (1-9), mainly due to lower VIP luck factor and one less set of weekend compared with the first 9 days.

The weekly GGR brought month-to-date ADR to MOP 725 million, which is a 9 percent increase compared to June ADR of MOP 666 million.

The brokerage has revised its monthly GGR forecast to MOP 21.7 to MOP22.1 billion, representing an increase of 22 to 24 percent year-on-year.
