Leisure & Resorts World Corp. said its wholly owned unit, Total Gamezone Xtreme (TGXI), has been given regulatory approval as an electronic games system service provider.
The Philippines said it has been striving to continue to provide services to its customers through TGXI's remote electronic gaming due to the Covid lockdowns and social distancing protocols.
The company said the electronic gaming system and remote gaming platform was launched on July 15.
The platform is accessible to all registered players of TGXI and offers a variety of game options, such as Habanero, CQ9, Pocket Game Soft and Playground Technology.
The Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) said it would issue licenses to provide online gaming to the domestic market in late 2020. It's the first jurisdiction in Asia to regulate online gambling.
