Luxury hotel The 13 opens today

South Shore Holdings Limited, the operator The 13, has confirmed it is officially opening the doors to its luxury hotel today, Friday August 31, 2018.

The 13, touted as Asia’s most luxurious hotel, was originally scheduled to open on July 1, 2016, but was met with countless delays involving construction and licenses for operation over two years.

Early this month, South Shore announced it had finally acquired the license for its hotel, F&B, Health Club, and Bar, the last step needed before it is permitted to open.

It held a “sneak preview” for special guests on the weekend of August 24, allowing guests to enjoy its luxurious hotel suites and F&B offerings.

Mark Lettenbichler, managing director of THE 13 who opened the inaugural private event said, “Our team at THE 13 are thrilled to unveil this new Macau treasure and are proud to showcase our world-class offerings to our guests.”

Designed by internationally acclaimed luxury architect, Peter Marino, the 13 includes a hotel with about 200 duplex suites, limited edition products from the major luxury brands and the

only branch of a legendary Paris institution of haute cuisine.

With a gross floor area of approximately 945,079 square feet, The 13 Hotel is designed to ensure the highest level of luxury and privacy, The 13 Hotel will offer approximately 200 duplex

suites and villas beginning at about 520 square feet ranging up to about 9,870 square feet and a royal villa of about 19,838 square feet.

Guests will arrive in one of the hotel’s fleet of signature-red Rolls-Royce extended wheelbase Phantoms with the option for private check in.

All guests will arrive in their rooms via lifts that open directly into the suites.
