Macau’s health authorities on Tuesday announced an easing of quarantine requirements for foreign non-residents that are already living in Macau, allowing them to travel to Mainland China and back without having to complete quarantine.
Previously, any foreigner wanting to travel to Macau without quarantine would be required to have been in China for at least 21 days.
However, the new rules note that those that have been in Macau for 21 days will now also be covered under the quarantine exemption, according to Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre Coordinator Dr. Leong Iek Hou.
The measures will cover Macau residents who have been granted special authorisation to be in the SAR, for example a family reunion or those holding an entry permit for work purposes.
