Macau Legend to announce a resort in Portugal

Gaming operator Macau Legend is reportedly planning a US$222 million resort in Setubal, Portugal.

The company will be signing an agreement with the city’s government for the construction of a hotel, marina, residences and commercial spaces in the town on Thursday - with more details of the upcoming project to be announced later in the week, according to broadcaster TDM.

The company is not new to global expansion.

Last month, Macau Legend announced it was cleared from the accusations regarding its  US$282.3 million Cape Verde project. Construction of its resort began in March this year.

The operator is also in the process of acquiring the Savan Vegas Hotel and Resort in Laos.
