Macau Pac On Ferry expected to launch mid-2016

Macau’s Pac On Ferry Terminal expansion should be open to the public by mid 2016, local media reported, citing the Marine and Water Bureau’s director.

The terminal, which aims to ferry mass market visitors to the resorts on Cotai, has been hampered by delays and improper budgeting. 

Bureau director Susana Wong Soi Man said the Infrastructure Development Office (GDI) is expected to complete the main areas of the ferry terminal currently under construction at the end of this year, TDM Macau reported. It will take a further six months before the terminal is operational.

“We are cooperating with GDI in the building process and we expect that the delivery [of the infrastructure] should be made at the end of the year. If everything goes well, it will open to the public by mid-2016,” she was quoted as saying.
