Macau package tourists up 18.1 percent in June

Macau recorded an 18.1 percent increase in package tourists for the month of June, amounting to 669,600 tourists in the month, according to data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

Visitors on package tours from South Korea saw the largest increase, going up 30.7 percent year-on-year to 39,500, while tourists from mainland China increased 15.8 percent to 509,800.

The results brought a total of 3.8 million package tourists for the half year ended June 30, 2017, up 10.3 percent compared to the prior-year period.
