Macau Roosevelt officially opens its doors

Macau Roosevelt Hotel and Casino officially opened its doors, after an opening ceremony was held at the Macau Jockey Club on Wednesday, local media reports.

The casino, which runs on a SJM-license, opened with 30 gaming tables and 90 slot machines. The hotel portion, which is located on the same parcel of land, includes 368 guest rooms, and four restaurants.

Property owner Mike Lam, said he was confident to stay competitive with other hotel operators in Cotai, according to a report from Macau TDM.

"We are a fashion hotel. When people are tired of the traditional hotel chain, they will love this kind of hotel. An urban retreat, while not as convenient, means you can be away from the noisy environment".

With a total investment of around HK$2 billion, Lam says he's still waiting for the opening of more stores and facilities.
