Mariana Entertainment plans to open second gaming venue on Saipan

Mariana Entertainment is planning on opening a second electronic gaming venue on the island of Saipan in the Northern Marianas, according to local sources.

A consultant for Mariana Entertainment, which has been operating Club 88 at Saipan Ocean View Hotel in Garapan since July, said the company has its sights set on another venue though declined to give details.

“There is a license issued for another venue,” said Gus Noble

“We have the venue.”

Despite Club 88 competing with Best Sunshine casino nearby and Club C, Noble says there is still room for another slot machine venue.

An E-Gaming law was passed in December 2013 stipulating that an e-gaming facility can only be operated in hotels with at least 100 rooms. Smaller hotels may also do so if it is attached to a golf course.
