Melco denies City of Dreams opening set for November

Melco Crown has denied reports that it has set an opening date in November for its City of Dreams integrated resort in Manila.

The company said in a filing with the Philippine Stock Exchange that apart from its statements in previous disclosures that the casino is expected to open this year, there is nothing concrete to report.

The statement followed reports in Philippine newspapers that cited Willy Ocier, chairman of Premium Leisure Corp, Melco’s partner in the venture, as saying that the resort will open in November with 80 percent of its rooms at that time, ramping up to 950 by year end.
