Melco Resorts & Entertainment marked the official launch Wednesday of a fleet of 20 zero-emission electric buses, which it claims is the largest in Macau.
The ceremony was held at Studio City, along with manufacturer, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Company Limited (Yutong).
Melco’s fleet of 20 electric buses service passengers to, from and between its integrated resort properties City of Dreams, Studio City and Altira Macau.
“Melco are strong advocates of the Macau government’s policies to develop the city into a world-class capital for green tourism,” said Akiko Takahashi, executive VP and chief officer of human resources and CSR at Melco said. “With strong support from Yutong, with whom we share the same vision on sustainable development, Melco is pleased to service our guests, colleagues and stakeholders with our fleet of 20 full electric buses, the largest number in Macau. We look forward to continuing to develop our strategies and efforts for a better environment.”
