MGM certified as Japanese food supporter

MGM Resorts International has been officially certified as an overseas Japanese food and ingredient supporter, meaning that it is utilizing authentic Japanese food products directly from Japanese suppliers.

In a ceremony held on the 7th at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries in Kasumigaseki, Tokyo, MGM was represented by a delegation headed by Ari Kastrati, senior vice-president for food & beverage strategy, and the Japanese side was led by Japan External Trade Organization Executive Director Yasukazu Irino.

Kastrati commented that MGM is “excited to grow our partnership with Japan.”

At present, thirteen MGM restaurants are recognized as Japanese Food Supporters, with steakhouses in MGM Las Vegas IRs such as the Bellagio making out the bulk of them.

According to ministry officials, these thirteen MGM restaurants now join roughly 3,900 restaurants worldwide that have been recognized as Japanese Food Supporters.
