MGS celebrates Macao’s 20th anniversary

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland, Macao Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), Nam Kwong Cultural and Creative Industry Limited and China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd will jointly organize MGS Entertainment Show 2019 on 12th -14th November 2019 at The Venetian Macao.

In 2019, MGS Entertainment Show (MGS) continues to be strongly supported by major government departments in both Macao and China, including Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao S.A.R as the guide unit, Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce, PRC, The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Department of Trade and Investment Promotion, Macao Foundation, The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, Economic Bureau, Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, Macao Government Tourism Office and others.

There are a number of highlights for MGS 2019. First, the exhibition will see a new 5G Wireless Casino and 5G Experience Center, which comes amid a rollout of 5G technology around the world.

In the 5G Wireless Casino section, exhibitors will showcase how 5G technology can be applied in casinos. Following the introduction of the global 5G standard, CTM immediately proceeded with 5G network testing which was successfully completed recently. MGS will co-operate with CTM to introduce 5G applications in the IR industry at the 5G Experience Center.

In addition, to incorporate the government’s ‘One Centre, one platform’ in Macao, MGS will position to promote the globalization and competitiveness of Chinese Enterprises.

In the showroom of Hotel Supplies Area, MGS2019 will introduce ‘The Capital of Gifts –Yi Wu city’ to bring various creative souvenirs to the buyers; And the Capital of Hardware & Electric – Yong Kang city to exhibit hardware products used in hotels; Finally, the exhibitors which focus on hotel linen will display their distinctive products covering room linen and banquet linen.

Finally, the VR Experience Area is expected to bring fun to the show floor. Virtual Reality (VR) is an emerging technology that can bring together diverse tourism and leisure experiences for integrated resorts, casinos, theme parks, and exhibition centers. Visitors will have an opportunity to experience the ICAROS and Virtuix Omni, not only to experience the thrill of flying but also to run 360 degrees within the game, in order to fully appreciate the charm of VR sports devices.

The MGS Entertainment show is a one-stop show for gaming, entertainment, technology, integrated resorts, hotel, environmental protection, and safety systems. The venue is divided into leisure cultural and creative area, science and technology area, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay achievements exhibition area, hotel supplies supply area, Zhejiang pavilion, entertainment industry periphery, entertainment equipment area, import promotion activity exhibition area, supercar display area and slot experience center.

At the same time, MGS2019 will co-host the 2019 Global Entertainment Future Summit with Sina Games, ChinaJoy, General Association of Macao E-Sport Industry(GAMEI), Macau Electronics Competition Association, and The Leisure Type E-games Sports Association of Macau.

The themes of the summit will range from the development of Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area promotes the development of Macao's diversified economy, how to develop IR industry in Japan, ICBC (Macau) helps promote the moderate economic diversification of Macao by supporting the development of SMEs, and more.

Through the MGS show, attendees can access potential investors, gaming equipment suppliers, hotel suppliers, and experienced gaming operational talent during the exhibition, therefore extending the scope of business to more Asian countries.

MGS, the annual event for the IR industry, has established itself as a must-attend event for the global gaming and entertainment industry. In 2018, it attracted over 160 exhibitors, with an attendance of 16,800. MGS 2019 is nearly 20,000 square meters and more professional than in previous years. The content continues to cover leisure technology, gaming equipment, e-sports, security system, integrated resorts procurement fair, hotel supplies, environmental protection, and sustainability.

MGS has also arranged a promotional meeting for the China International Import Expo next year. The Expo is a major event in China's convention and exhibition industry.
