Michael Kelly appointed executive chairman of ACDL, Ho Tram Project

Michael Kelly has been appointed executive chairman of Asian Coast Development Limited and its asset company, Ho Tram Project Company Limited, taking the reins of one of Vietnam's biggest casino projects.

According to Ho Tram’s spokesperson, Matthew Underwood, Kelly will be based full time in Vietnam and will not only oversee the daily operations of the existing integrated casino resort at the Ho Tram Strip, but also the development of the next phases of the project.

“I am very excited to be taking over the leadership of the Ho Tram Strip. We have a tremendous property with the only beachfront integrated resort in Asia at The Grand - Ho Tram Strip and with a golf course that has been steadily gathering international accolades with The Bluffs - Ho Tram Strip, which will soon host some of the biggest names in world golf on Asia's Grandest Stage at the US$1.5 million Ho Tram Open,” Kelly said in a statement.

“I am focused on harnessing that experience to unleash the enormous potential of the Ho Tram Strip to make it the number one resort and casino in Vietnam.”

Michael Kelly will effectively be combining the roles of Ho Tram president Shaun McCamley and Stephen Shoemaker, chairman and chief executive of Asian Coast Development. McCamley will be leaving Ho Tram, citing a “misalignment” of management thinking going forward, while Shoemaker will be taking another role within the group. Kelly served as the CEO and president of Legends Gaming LLC. and has served as CEO of Majestic Star Casino LLC.
