MyTeam11 faces tax evasion probe

Fantasy Sports company MyTeam11 is under investigation for alleged tax evasion, according to local media reports.

The Jaipur-based company organizes online skill-based fantasy games, including cricket. The company’s premises were searched by a regional unit of Directorate General of Goods and Services Tax Intelligence last week.

“During the course of search, MyTeam11 has voluntarily deposited Rs 1.53 crore in anticipation of their GST liability which comes to Rs 7.0 crore as per the preliminary inquiry. Further investigation in this case is under process,” a DGGI official told media.
