According to the latest reports, the number of would-be IR operators participating in the Nagasaki RFC process has now declined to three.
Last November it was initially stated that five operators were involved in the RFC, then it was four, and now three. The three firms are believed to be Oshidori International, Casinos Austria, and Current Corporation.
Interviews with the three firms are scheduled to wrap up by February 21, and the selection of the prefecture’s operator partner is expected to be made in the autumn.
On last Friday, prefectural officials held a seminar for the general public on the Kyushu Nagasaki IR Basic Concept Plan at which about 130 people participated. Polls have shown that local residents are comparatively supportive of the IR initiative.
