Occupancy rate in Macau rises slightly in June

Macau saw its occupancy rate rise 3.1 percentage points to 88.5 percent year-on-year in the month of June, according to data from the Macau Hotel Association (MHA).

Of the various hotel types, occupancy rates for 5-star hotels saw the largest jump, going up 6.2 percentage points to 88 percent in the month, while 3 and 4 star hotels only saw an increase of 1.4 and 2.9 percentage points respectively.

Average room price however dropped in June, reaching MOP1,174.8 (US$146.1).
