PhilWeb adds more PAGCOR e-games sites

PhilWeb Corp. said it has acquired two more of the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Corp’s e-gaming sites in a cash and stock transaction.

The company said its BigGame unit bought the sites in Consolacion and Lapulapu City on Cebu from Golden Frontier Gaming. It paid 394,322 Philweb shares, valued at P5.12 each, and P2.5 million in cash.

There are now a total of 52 locations operating under the PhilWeb group.

The operator has been adding e-gaming sites since re-acquiring its permit to operate last year. The company said in October that it had received the Certificate of Accreditation from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) as an Electronic Gaming System service provider.
