Rush Street Japan has launched its “My Tomakomai” online platform in both Japanese and English languages to solicit local community views about the elements which should be integrated into a Tomakomai IR.
Chief Financial Officer Tim Drehkoff explains to Asia Gaming Brief, “The opportunity to engage with the local people at the Hokkaido IR Showcase during the course of two days was invaluable. Many visitors found it to be a pleasant surprise to see that they had a chance to tell us how they envision a local IR to be through our recently launched online platform ‘My Tomakomai.’ The campaign will continue to run following the event, and we look forward to facilitating open dialogue with local stakeholders to shape the future of Tomakomai together.”
Rush Street Japan opened an office in Tomakomai city last month, and Chairman Neil Bluhm told Asia Gaming Brief at that time, “Our focus is on Tomakomai, Hokkaido, and we’re enthusiastic about it.”
About half a dozen other international IR operators have made clear that they are also strongly interested in the Tomakomai location.
