SkyCity gets three-year extension to complete convention centre

New Zealand's SkyCity Entertainment said it has been given a three-year extension to the long-stop date for the completion of a convention centre at its flagship Auckland property. The project was due for completion on Jan. 2, 2025 and the target has been moved to Dec, 15, 2027. Despite the extension, the company said it expects contractors to finish construction in 2024. It said the additional time is a prudent measure to provide a buffer for completion. Company statement
