Sportradar to monitor AFF Suzuki Cup matches

Sportradar entered an accord with the Asean Football Federation to provide monitoring and coverage across global betting markets for all of this year’s AFF Suzuki Cup.

The anti-corruption body also provided education workshops to tournament officials in Hanoi and Singapore before the tournament began in Hanoi on Nov. 22nd.

The tournament, which takes place every two years, is being jointly hosted by Vietnam and Singapore. The finals will be held on Dec. 20th.

Sportradar’s Fraud Detection System will notify the AFF if there are any suspicious betting patterns on any of the 12 group games or the six games in the knock-out stages.

“The AFF Suzuki Cup is the most exciting competition in the region and has been electrifying fans since 1996. But we are not blind to the dangers that match fixing and manipulation poses,” said Lt Gen Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad (Retired), the General Secretary of the AFF, said.
