Strong VIP hold and visitation boosts weekly ADR

Macau saw a strong week-on-week increase in ADR for the week ended July 23, due to higher VIP hold and volume, and strong visitation.

Gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the week (July 17-23) reached MOP 5.7 billion (US$708.9 million), with an ADR of MOP 807 million.

Bernstein said month-to-date daily mass GGR is up by approximately 10 percent compared to June, and VIP is also up mid-teens compared to last month.

Assuming a GGR ADR of MOP 670 to 710 million for the remaining days in the month, Bernstein says it estimates July GGR to be in the range of MOP 22.6 billion and MOP 22.9 billion, representing a year-on-year increase in July of 27 to 29 percent.
