Tinian workers request Federal Court ruling

Former employees of the now-shuttered Tinian Dynasty have requested the Federal Court rule in their favor with regards to a damages claim filed against the operator, Marianas Variety reports.

In their complaint, the plaintiffs alleged fraudulent concealment, negligent misrepresentation, constructive fraud, and wrongful termination, and are seeking punitive damages.

However, the management behind Tinian Dynasty has been underrepresented in court, after the withdrawal of their lawyers in 2016, prompting the court to consider a default judgment if the company failed to obtain a new lawyer.

Attorney Samuel Mok, Eric F. Dona, and other plaintiffs have now filed a motion for default judgment in the District Court for the NMI.
