TurboJet to increase ferry frequency between Macau and HK in mid-May

Ferry operator TurboJet has announced that it’s going to increase the frequency of sailings between Macau and Hong Kong in mid-May, with ferries every 15 minutes departing from the Taipa ferry terminal and every half-hour from the Macau terminal.

Speaking to media, a TurboJet representative noted that night-time sailings will still be limited, departing every hour.
The group notes that it intends to continue ramping up the frequency of its sailings, but is currently limited by manpower shortages, as staff must receive special training for night sailings.
The increased sailings bode well for Macau’s aim to capture more visitors from Hong Kong, as around 35 percent of the 4.96 million visitors during the first quarter of the year came from the neighboring city.
TurboJet is one of the two main ferry operators between Hong Kong and Macau, with the other being operated by a Sands China subsidiary - Cotai WaterJet.
