Victoria to debate casino management act mid-Oct.

The Victorian state parliament in Australia will debate an amendment to the 1993 Act governing management agreements with monopoly casino operator Crown Resorts in mid-October ahead of State elections.
The legislation is known as "regulatory certainty" and sets out provisions that entitle the casino operator to compensation should the state introduce measures that impact the company’s cash flow.
In a press release, the casino’s owners charged that over the past decade, Victorian governments have imposed changes on the gambling industry, such as license premium payments and tax rates, that were not generally foreseeable by the industry at the time of making commitments.
