VIP competition slices Dore revenue

Dore Holdings Ltd. reported a 42.5 percent drop in revenue to HK$25.6 million ($3.3 million) for the year ended March 31 from its interest in a VIP room at the Venetian Macao casino due to "more intense competition". Profits however rose 79.3 percent to HK$16.48 million due to a smaller loss from the change in value of financial investments. "The management considered that the junket business at this remaining casino’s VIP room will not have further expansion, and the junket business is considered to be saturated in the long run," said Dore, which has announced a deal to invest in a Chinese pawn shop group.
