Visitors on package tours down 20 percent in Sep

Visitors coming to Macau through package tours decreased 20 percent year-on-year to 596,000 in September, according to the latest data from the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).

Package tour visitors from Mainland China and Taiwan took the biggest hit, falling 23 percent and 11.1 percent respectively year-on-year, while those from Korea recorded a 44.9 percent increase.

In the first three quarters of 2016, visitors on package tours totalled 5,420,000, down by 27.8 percent year-on-year.
