Yggdrasil reinvents online table games

Advances in technology are enabling developers to provide a new generation of RNG table games, which can compete with the dynamism of online slots and provide a customized product for operators to suit their brand identity.

For many years now, RNG table games have lacked the increasing excitement provided by online slots, where developers have made great progress across audio, visuals, speed, mathematics, gameplay and promotional tools.

In the RNG table game sphere there have been few changes for the past five years, leading to a loss of interest amongst players. However, that is set to change.

Yggdrasil Gaming, one of the most innovative providers in the industry, promises its new table game product will be very different, using elements such as motion capture technology to model the movements of the dealer. This ensures the player can immerse themselves in a true 3-D casino environment.

“Our new table games product will be very different. We are developing several popular multiplayer table games, the first one to go live will be Blackjack,” says Yggdrasil Head of Table Games Marcus Honney.

The games are built upon a progressive, in-house technology known as REDUX, which combines the best aspects of both live and RNG casino. The games are also optimized for the mobile channel.

Operators will be able to dress up the game according to their visual identity or special themes.

“The only limit we have is the imagination of whomever is asking us to create an environment!”

Following on from Blackjack, Roulette and Baccarat will be added to Yggdrasil’s portfolio of table games, all utilizing a highly-detailed 3D dealer and innovative social experiences, which will allow players to sit and communicate with other players at the gaming table.

Yggdrasil table games will initially go live with operators Vera&John and Intercasino, both part of the Jackpotjoy Group, in a beta partnership with a view to being fully operational later this year.

“Yggdrasil is a well-known name across the industry that has become a byword for innovation in the slots sector. It is fantastic news to hear they are turning their attention to table games,” said Jackpotjoy Group’s Head of Gaming Victor Olinger.

“It is a major coup to be the first operator to go live with Yggdrasil’s table games, and we look forward to bringing this exciting new product to our full customer base this year.”

Yggdrasil official table game launch will happen on ICE in London, February 6 at 14:00 GMT, in stand N3-140.
