China lottery sales hit 251.6 billion yuan in year to Oct.

China’s lottery sales rose 19.2 percent in the year to the end of October to 251.6 billion yuan ($41.29 billion), according to Ministry of Finance figures. Sales of welfare lottery tickets were up 16.6 percent to 143.55 billion. Sports lottery sales gained 22.9 percent to 108.08 billion yuan. In October alone, lottery sales spiked 26.2 percent.
