China to target gambling, fraud perpetrators amid COVID-19

The Chinese government is set to intensify its crackdown on illegal online gambling, as well as telecom and internet fraud, which has increased amid the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Chinese Ministry of Public Security.
As well as the companies directly involved in the illegal activity, the MPS said it will also target those providing guidance, technical support and those providing payment transfer or settlement services.
