Gaming companies not permitted in Hengqin New Area

Gambling companies will not be permitted to operate in the Hengqin New Area, a demonstration area exploring cooperation between Guangdong province, Hong Kong and Macau, local media reported, citing Niu Jing, director of the administrative committee of the Hengqin New Area. The area will include seven industries -- tourism, commercial services, finance, creative culture, traditional Chinese medicine, science and education research and high-technology. Hengqin covers an area three times that of Macao.
