Grand Korea Leisure sees a 229 percent yearly increase in January revenue

South Korea foreigner-only casino Grand Korea Leisure saw a 229 percent yearly increase in revenue in January, reaching KRW32.08 billion ($25.7 million).

The majority of revenues was split between its Seoul Gangnam and Seoul Hilton casino properties, with Gangnam raking in KRW13.89 billion and the Hilton bringing in KRW14.83 billion.
The figures include a 249 percent table drop increase year-on-year and a 9.27 percent monthly increase, while machine revenue was up more than 38 percent, at KRW3 billion.
Both GKL and foreigner-only casino Paradise have seen strong results coming out of the pandemic, with Paradise seeing a 168 percent yearly increase in casino revenue, to $39.71 million.
GKL, meanwhile had already seen a 201 percent increase in casino revenues in December.
