Meg-Star hosts charity night, unveils image as group


Junket operator Meg-Star Group on Monday hosted a charity night and reunion gala dinner at the Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel Cotai, with over 3,000 guests in attendance.

Meg-Star released its new brand image as a group during the event. Hong Kong star Julian Cheung Chi Lam was invited as the spokesperson of the brand and witnessed the launch of a new corporate video premiered by him.

“Charity” was another highlight of the event. Thomas Pang, CEO of Meg-Star Group expressed his attention to education and development of children in impoverished areas, and wished to continue visiting the children in person in future. Meg-Star Charity had successfully rose over HK$15 million in funds at the event, and donated a sum of HK$1 million to support five Macau charity associations, including Tung Sin Tong, Charity Fund From the Readers of Macao Daily News, Macao Holy House of Mercy, Macao Heritage Ambassadors Association, as well as Associação de idosos, deficientes intelectuais e seus familiars in the event.

Sponsored by overseas partners, more than one hundred thrilling prizes such as travel packages to Australia, Korea and other places, were handed out at the event, in the theme of “Exploring the World”.  

Famous singers including Yu Quan from China, Sammi Cheng, Lam Fung, and the Grasshopper from Hong Kong also performed on stage which made the event last night more exciting.
